It’s spring time, the sun’s shining, the temps are finally warming up, and it’s time to catch some rays! Get the kids excited about playing outside with this simple and fun Play Date Kit! Be sure to grab your free printable tags below!
I am SO glad it’s spring! How about you?! With it comes the promise of more sunny days, warmer weather, and lots of play dates with the kids outside! My kids love to invite friends over to our house to run around in the yard or to go to the park for some fun times! After a long winter, it’s so nice to get outdoors and enjoy nature and fresh air!
We have a sand box at our house and my kids would dig all day if they could! Even without one, though, I’m pretty sure they’d find a nice spot of loose dirt to turn up. 🙂 There’s just something so fun about making a mess! 🙂 Plus, how could they say “no” to bubbles? So I put together the perfect Play Date Kit to usher in all the fun times that will be had outside in the coming warmer months!
These would be perfect little party gifts or favors too! They’re easy and inexpensive to put together and the kids just have a blast with them!
Of course, the kit just wouldn’t be complete without the yummy snacks! Because playing hard outside and hungry tummies are synonymous! Have you tried Betty’s Lou’s Fruit Bars? My family is crazy about them! Every bite tastes like you’re eating a slice of pie! And they’re convenient and non-messy, SO perfect for on-the-go!
Plus, all sugars in them come from natural fruit and fruit juice! So, as a mom wanting the very best for my kids, I feel really good about handing them one of these delicious fruit bars to munch on!
Betty Lou’s Fruit Bars are gluten-free and do not contain any of the 8 major food allergens identified by the FDA! I love that they are a healthier dessert for those with a sweet tooth, like me. I can’t think of a reason not to enjoy these yummies! These are also perfect for school lunches!
Be sure to look for them at Walmart on the breakfast bars aisle. I used Walmart pickup and didn’t even have to set foot outside! Have you tried this service yet? It’s amazing! A total time and sanity saver!
To put the play date kits together, I grabbed some plastic buckets and shovels at Walmart, along with some sidewalk chalk, Betty Lou’s Fruit Bars for snacks, bubbles and sunglasses. I tied a few pieces of chalk together with baker’s twine, printed and attached the tags to the handles and placed the items in the buckets before surprising the kids! They’ve already been using these kits to the max!

When the sun is shining, it’s as if it’s calling the kids outside for some fun! We’re looking forward to lots more play time outside as the weather is consistently warm!
